Manali in 4 days: a relaxed first-timer itinerary
Snow at Solang, cafés in Old Manali and a day across the Atal Tunnel — paced for families and first-time visitors.
Four days is enough to see Manali without rushing. Base yourself near Old Manali or the Mall Road and keep one flexible day for weather.
Day 1: Settle in
Visit Hadimba Devi Temple in the cedar forest, then walk down to the Mall Road. Evenings are cool even in summer.
Day 2: Solang Valley
Go early for the ropeway and paragliding. In winter, Solang is the easiest place for snow activities.
Day 3: Atal Tunnel and Sissu
Check road status the night before. Carry warm clothes — Lahaul is colder and windier than Manali.
Day 4: Vashisht and Jogini Falls
Soak in the Vashisht hot springs and walk up to Jogini Falls before heading back.
